It’s nearly impossible to determine where Malaysian Airlines in-fated flight MH370 lies, writes California-based airline pilot and engineer Bruce Robertson in an emailed update on “Very little hard evidence exists for the disappearance of MH370 with most of the best coming from the satellite ping data,” added Robertson who has over 40 years flying experience. “So, very little hard evidence means the search will be very difficult.”He has experienced some events that MH370 may have viz. unbalanced lateral loads due to a fuel load differential, computer plots of his assumed flight path that bear only passing resemblance to his actual flight and cockpit emergencies where he didn’t have time to talk. Briefly, he reckons it can be safely assumed that something catastrophic happened to the plane requiring a turn-back to home base.
