Amidst growing communal rift incited by the ongoing protests in various parts of country over regional, communal and religious issues, a Tharu community has organised a ‘goodwill rally’ here in Dang district to propagate a message of unity. The programme was organised by CPN-UML affiliated Lokatntrik Tharu Sangh.People from various ethnic background participated in the rally in their traditional attire. Leaders, cadres of different parties, including people from Tharu, Madhesi, Dalit and Magar community participated in the rally.
The rally with motto “Samriddha Ra Baliyo Rastra Ko Nirman Garau, Nyaya Ra Samanata Sahitko Samajik Sadbhav Kayam Garau (Let’s create a prosperous and strong nation, and let’s maintain social harmony with justice and equality.”Former state minister and Tharu activist Mahesh Chaudhary said that the social harmony where everyone lived in peace should be continued for the sake of national unity.Former CA member Shanta Chaudhary said the criminal do not belong to any particular caste, so no community or caste can be blamed for their crimes.Likewise, UML alternative central committee member Metmani Chaudhari said the leaders of every ethnic groups must play an important role to bring the disturbed communal harmony in Tarai back into its peaceful state.
